
Jack Highberger is a two-time regional Emmy® Award winning filmmaker and graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory. His work includes the AFI thesis film CAROLINE, which was selected for the 2024 Yugo BAFTA Long List and premiered at AFI Fest, and the short documentary SPINA AMERICANA, which made its world premiere at DOC NYC.
The son of a Colorado rancher and a journalist, Jack spent ten years as a broadcast news reporter, where he covered many of the nation's largest stories–offering an unforgettable window into the human condition. In his films, he strives to dramatize complicated characters chasing often-complicated dreams–a pursuit he knows well.
Jack earned an MFA in Directing from the AFI Conservatory and a BFA from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
